These notes come by simply touching or tapping the strings with the left hand. This is, of course, both a blessing and a curse, usually a curse of many unwanted notes.

But along the way, some players have adopted this phenomenon to their benefit. Even to the point of using BOTH hands to tap separate parts on different strings at the same time.

So along comes the dedicated tapping guitar, with more strings and positioned more vertically to allow for better playing by both hands.

Today, instruments like
* the Chapman Stick
* Warr Guitar
* Box Guitar
* Bunker Guitar
* Mobius Megatar
exist to help to overcome the limitations of tapping on guitar or bass tapping.

Along with the various new tapping guitar instruments, comes a multitude of tunings for tapping on a guitar.

This blog intends to sort it all out for you, including
* 8 tapping guitar manufacturers' latest tap guitar reviews
* tap tuning explainations
* tapping guitar technique 101
* touch guitar artist profiles with audio/video
* how to tap guitar tutorials
and lots of other stuff pertaining to touch style guitar.

So, subscribe to the RSS feed to stay in the loop.
